Working Arrangements
 My fees vary according to the type and length of the proposed project.
The first step is a phone or email conversation to discuss the nature of the project and the desired outcome: A finished book? An article? Your memoir? A book proposal? Developmental editing or rewrite of an existing manuscript? Guidance in developing ideas or in re-casting a professional book for a general audience?
Step two is typically a consultation, ranging from a half day to two days, in which I review your material according to the parameters we discuss, and give you feedback on what needs to be done to bring the project to fruition. Even if we proceed no further than this consultation, you will gain useful input and advice to carry you to the next phase of your project.
Book proposal preparation and developmental editing fees are time-based.
For book-length ghostwriting collaborations, my fee is a percentage of advance/royalty payments. The percentage varies according to the size of the publisher's advance and the client's input and involvement in the project.
