Putting aside the joys and tribulations of my youth, here's the version of my life pertinent to your inquiry:
I began writing craft and design books during my years as owner of a graphic design studio in Manhattan, where I lived for twenty years before moving to northern California in 1991. My first collaboration was with pioneering self-help psychologist George Bach, with whom I co-authored two books. Since then I've ghostwritten, packaged and edited books on a variety of subjects. At times I've worked directly with editors or agents to rescue troubled manuscripts.
I've prepared articles and speeches, edited memoirs, and turned unfocused material into marketable book proposals. But my specialty seems to be writing general-audience books for academics and psychologists. Clients have found my photography and graphic design skills a valuable asset in conceptualizing and presenting their material. And I make them laugh.
Let me know how I can be of help with your project.
